I believe your only practical option from Wilmington to Scranton without a car is intercity bus.

There is only one scheduled commercial flight in/out of Wilmington (New Castle County Airport), and that%26#39;s Delta to/from Atlanta. There are charters available, but I suspect you%26#39;ll find them prohibitively expensive.

Rail service in Wilmington is along the Northeast Corridor line, essentially paralleling I-95 between Washington and Boston. Scranton is not served by Amtrak.

I beleive US Air serves Scranton by one of it%26#39;s regional flights out of Philadelphia . Not that I would advise flying out of Phila but it is an alternative to the bus.

Just FYI, Delta is cancelling all service out of Wilmington effective Sept. 5.
