You won%26#39;t be going through NJ when going from Philadelphia to DC.
What do you mean by ';places to stop'; in DE? A quick bite on your way to DC? A half-day of sight-seeing? A place to stay on the evening of Feb. 17?
mid alantic trip
Wow! Sounds like an amazing trip. You have some great things planned. Just a note of caution: the Feb dates are prime for messy snowstorms. We had almost planned a trip from Gettysburg to Williamsburg for President%26#39;s Day last year--thank heavens we didn%26#39;t, because there was an ice storm in PA and MD that just made travel unpleasant.
Harpers Ferry will be a bit out of your way from DC to Richmond. Have you considered coming across 95 to Baltimore, then across 70 to Frederick and over to Harpers Ferry before going to DC? (Personal preference here--I hate backtracking. Although I guess you could go down 15 from Frederick to Manassas on your way to Richmond, but it%26#39;s not a very big road.)
Good luck planning!
