We rented a house in O/C Maryland but its very close to Fenwick Island. Can you give me any %26#39;insider%26#39; suggestions... as far as best beach, boardwalk, restaurants?
Fenwick Island
The boardwalk is at the southern end of Ocean City .It has plenty of amusements ,food and shops. Fenwick has no boardwalk .At least once go to a Philips Crab`House.
Fenwick Island
Fenwick Island is in DE where there is no sales tax, so dining out there will be cheaper (yes, that tax really adds up). For boardwalk %26amp; amusements you will, unfortunately, be at the wrong end of OC...
There are some small parks %26amp; mini-golf along the drive.
Like some other reviewers here, I think Phillips is over-rated (used to be very good but coasting on their past reputation). Not bad, but perhaps not really worth the money anymore.
Wish I could suggest a better place but I%26#39;m still hunting. For a seafood buffet the Bonfire is probably your best bet.
Sorry I can%26#39;t help more....Enjoy your vacation.
We had steamed crabs at Fenwick Crab House a few years ago with a group of 10 or so. They were *very* good, and the price was reasonable compared to other restaurants. Very casual atmosphere.
There%26#39;s a restaurant at the extreme southern end of Ocean City, right on the inlet, Harrison%26#39;s Harbor Watch. In the bar they make oyster stew to order, starting with shucking the oysters, and it is fabulous. After dark, they light the exterior to highlight the gazillion gulls that swoop over the inlet. Black sky with brilliant white birds against it -- one of the most fantastic beach images ever.
Wow! I just checked here on TA, and Harrison%26#39;s is rated #1 of 199 restaurants in OC. tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g41298-d51…
Guess it%26#39;s not quite the undiscovered gem we thought we%26#39;d found!
