Hi, looking for opinions on the best hotel. I have stayed at the Beach View, the Boardwalk, and Brighton Suites.
Dollar for dollar, Beachview has been the best.
Would like to stay oceanfront though. Its easiest with 3 small kids.
Has anyone been to Henlopen? Seems to get totally mixed reviews on this website.
Thanks
Best Rehoboth Hotel (near ocean)?
Have you checked out Atlantic Sands?
Best Rehoboth Hotel (near ocean)?
I have not. I have seen it there.
Do you prefer that one?
Do you have an opinion on Henlopen vs. Avenue Inn vs. Atlantic Sands?
Just stayed at Avenue Inn...it is NOT oceanfront. Some rooms have slight views of the ocean but the hotel is a block and a half from the boardwalk. The hotel seemed like a 3* property to me. 2 Room suite was large enough and the furnishings were old. The standard rooms were about the same. Clean, comfortable, very easy parking. Very close to the main drag, and right in the middle of restaurants, shops etc...
From talking to a few hotels by phone and the Avenue Inn in person, the general feeling I get is ';we do a great business here so take it or leave it.';
My husband and I loved The Boardwalk Plaza Hotel. It%26#39;s a bit pricey but it is on the boardwalk and has a great restaurant (Victoria%26#39;s). We went without kids though.

Stayed at the Atlantic Sands two weeks ago , much better then I expected - I will be posting some pics later. Not only is most of teh hotel oceanfront so is the pool.
Check out the Atlantic Sands. It%26#39;s recently been refurbished, right on the boards, and near the Avenue. Their prices are reasonable too (compared to the Boardwalk).
So...between the Atlantic Sands and the Boardwalk Plaza....if the price were the same for a 2 room suite, which would you choose??
I like both, I would probably stay at the Boardwalk Plaza if it were just myself and my husband, but would probably stay at the Atlantic Sands if I were taking kids. The pool is bigger and is totally outside, whereas the pool area at the Boardwalk Plaza is small and partially indoors.
