As mentioned in my previous post, I rented a house in Lewes at Angola on the Bay. I am sure someone on here knows where that is. I live in the Harrisburg, PA area...not so high for the cost of living. Does anyone know if there are any grocery stores in that area, and how is the prices? Just wondering if I should do the bulk of my shopping before I leave, or just wait till I get there. I was leaning towards waiting, with the exception of just bringing dry goods such as TP, paper plates and some of the other basics.
Thanks again guys! I couldnt travel without this site or people like you:

I don%26#39;t know how the grocery prices compare to Harrisburg, but the regular prices at the Giant in Rehoboth are a little less than what I pay in their stores in suburban Washington.
All other things being equal, I%26#39;d buy my dry goods in Delaware, as there%26#39;s no sales tax (versus the 6% you%26#39;re paying in Pa. on non-food items)
Suggest you check out each of the major grocery store%26#39;s websites and see the local circular for the Rehoboth area (use zip code 19971) to get an idea of prices. The stores along Rt. 1 are about 8 miles from AOTB.

Didn%26#39;t notice in your prior post you were at Angola. It would be easiest to use the Food Lion atLong Neck.If you care to use the Beach at Angola you should have no problem with your beer threre.Hope you have a great time. You are miles away from the major attractions.
Thanks guys! I like it quiet...nice and relaxing. How far are we from the major attractions?

With no tie ups you%26#39;re about 10 minutes from DE 1. After that the most honest answer is it depends on traffic . You might want to check out the band playing on the Deck of the Rusty Rudder in the afternoon/early evening. For much local info check out rehoboth.com.
relaxx enjoy yourself and have a great vacation.
If you are staying at Angola that is no closer to Lewes than Rehoboth...about the same. I%26#39;m surprised that is a Lewes address.
As for grocery prices, about the same except for lunchmeats %26amp; if you like corn on the cob, buy them in PA. We used to do SuperFresh on Rt. 1 but my wife has moaned about their prices lately...try the Super G or Safeway. Also, since we know you drink beer, wait until you get down to buy it...you will be pleasantly surprised %26amp; will probably end up ';stocking up'; before you head home!
