Best Western Brandy Wine Inn - Beware!!

I Stayed at this hotel, and I highly recommend that you stay away.

Reasons:

1) Bugs in room

2) Poor Room Cleaning Service

3) Equipment supplied in room did not function - DVD Player, Printer

4) Wireless internet was continually poor, without an option to go wired.

5) No on site personal laundry facilities

6) No business center

7) Bedspreads - Let%26#39;s just say that the CDC could have done a study

8) Old carpet - you know the kind that sticks to your feet

9) Noisy Air Conditioners!!!

10) a mysterious odor in the room that would come and go

11) And heaven for bid if it rains...the gutter system sounds like a rock band drum section!

12) Oh and you would think that you might have some privacy in the toilet....No...you can hear the guy next room.

Look I travel a lot... So, just be forewarned...if you think paying $114.00 a night merits the above then be my guest. Personally, I don%26#39;t!

I manage the Brandywine Valley Inn in Wilmington, DE. Our Hotel was totally renovated in 2003 from stem to stern. Everything, including the carpet, was replaced. If ever a guest of ours is unhappy with anything and they bring it to my attention, I immediately remedy the situation, move the guest to an acceptable location and / or make the appropriate adjustment to their bill. I never, never want an unhappy guest.

Yes, we have DVD Players with a ';complimentary'; (over 200 movies) movie library and personal printers with paper for your computer in every room. I have never gotten 1 compaint about these 2 amenities. They are all in perfect working condition. If not, I would throw them out and replace them.

We have Hi-Speed Internet access in all of our rooms. Half of our hotel is wireless and the other half is plug in. We also have 10 rooms that are both. We have a 24/7 hotline to Guestlinx and a card in the room stating this with the number. Again, if we can%26#39;t fix it - you don%26#39;t pay for it. We just need a call.

No we do not have an onsite personal laundry. We do however have 7 days a week, laundry service same day. You have it to the desk by 9:00AM - it is delivered back to you by 5:00 PM. There is also a laundry facility 2 miles North of us, if you prefer to do your own laundry.

There is a Business Center in the Lobby and we also supply a Laptop and do all printing, faxing etc. at no charge for our hotel guests.

The other points in your letter are petty and simply untrue as were the points I just answered where you basically lied about our facility. I am sorry that something went wrong and I only wish you brought it to my attention so I could correct it.

I completely disagree with this comment. I stayed at this hotel last week on one of thier packages. When I arrived my tickets and room keys were ready for me 4 hours prior to check in. Joann, at the front desk provided me with several dinner suggestions and even often to shuttle me to the restaurants. I was more than pleased with the customer service. The breakfast selection was excellent and as far as the rooms go they were very clean and the maids were very pleasant. I have even bought a gift certificate for both my children for christmas.
