Parking Permits for a day/Crowds

I am driving to Rehoboth only for the day. Are meters really hard to come by on a Saturday? If so- where do you get a parking permit for a day? Is it even worth visiting on a weekend or is it just elbow to elbow madness?

yes, the meters are very very hard on a summer saturday....

permits are available along the main streets, i can%26#39;t say exactly where, but you would likely see the little stands set up selling them along the avenue as well as route 1 seaside.

if you get there before 9 am it%26#39;s a lot easier, but who the heck can do that? LOL

There is a lot off Rt 1 southbound just past Holiday Inn Express where you could park and take the bus in town . They sell the permits on Rehoboth Ave as you go in to town . You will see the tables set up in the street. At times on the weekends RT1 both north and south bound and Rehoboth Ave outbound are in total gridlock. Great place most week days and in shoulder seasons.
