My husband, son and I are looking to rent a condo at the Sea Colony in July, 2006. Could someone let me know which building is the most convenient (in terms of the pools, convenience store, kids activites etc.) It%26#39;s such a huge resort I just don%26#39;t want to be in a building that is so far away from everything. Thanks!
Nicest/most convenient highrise at the Sea Colony?
I would also like to know this.....

Sea Colony is ok....if you like big crowded condo towers, and suburban type developments, noise and traffic.
I%26#39;d recommend taking a look at the Ocean Ridge community, about a mile north of S.C., big houses that easily hold up to 10, for $2000 or under, if you go before Memorial day. The weather is warm in May.
Check out VRBO dot com and search ';ocean ridge';. Great private beach w/lifegaurds, quiet, gated community, beautiful houses, close to Rehoboth, Ocean City, Bethany Beach, which all have many restaurants, boardwalks, amusement rides for the kids. Rehoboth has a lot of good stores, and there are many state parks, golf courses, and other attractions.
Mike, do you possibly own a place there? We%26#39;ve stayed in a few buildings and have found the Georgetowne building to be best maintained and veryclean. Edgewater is more central and has an indoor pool but I like being is a smaller building. There is both a pool and the beach right outside the Georgetowne building and there is a tram that you can ride to the fitness center or the tennis courts which are both inside and out. There is both a a small food store and deli in Edgewater. There are tennis leessons and water aerobics in the Georgetowne pool and what I really like is there is a kiddie camp where your kids get pizza and movie if you want to go out without your kids for a night. They also do crafts for the kids daily on the promonode.
Max, all that stuff sounds like a hectic, busy, noisy vacation in a big city to me. Not relaxing at all. Most people go to the beach to unwind and relax. All that stuff doesn%26#39;t sound great to me, you can do all that stuff at home.
We stayed at sea Colony last year. Can%26#39;t remember what building. It was pre busy season, but the place is huge and I can only imagine how packed it is during the busy summer season. I would not suggest anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay to book anything there. There are too many condos jammed too close together for my taste.
