This beach town is the most inhospitable place on the East Coast.
The town must cover half of its municipal budget with the parking tickets and citations its police department zealously hand out. The best part? There%26#39;s no place to park.
I will never go back.
Dewey Disaster
Just curious...were you one of those who received a parking ticket or other citation while you were there? If so, did you commit the offense?
Dewey Disaster
No, I was not cited or arrested.
I%26#39;m confused...if not you, are you saying parking tickets and citations are issued to other people who aren%26#39;t violating the law?
If they are violating the law, is there some reason why they shouldn%26#39;t be ticketed or cited?
I%26#39;m confused. Can you elaborate?
predictable he wouldn%26#39;t come back.
i won%26#39;t argue with the idea that the gendarmes in dewey can be quite...strict. i try to warn people when i see them parking on our street in a ';ticket prone'; manner. sometimes it%26#39;s just a matter of the cars pulling up a foot or so.
but some people really do deserve the tickets %26amp; fines. i told a person last summer that he was blocking our next-door neighbor%26#39;s parking pad...he kept insisting that he didn%26#39;t think it LOOKED like a parking pad to HIM...
but it was, and is. good job he finally listened to me, or he would have been ticketed %26amp; towed when our neighbors arrived.
