Have not been to Dewey for a few yrs, Can anyone tell me if Crabber%26#39;s Cove is still open for business with hardshell crabs? Tnx.
Crabber's Covestill there, yes. in fact, it %26amp; the lighthouse are the two businesses that the developers who are trying to get approval to re-do the ruddertowne property want to keep.
Crabber's CoveTnx very much for your reply. We%26#39;ve had some fun ';down and dirty'; crab feasts there and have also enjoyed walking out on the pier behind Ruddertowne after dinner, We had heard that many conversions to condo and re-zoning projects have been happening over the last few years. I suppose Ruddertowne is a prime waterfront property to ';revise.'; Again, thanks for your help.
you%26#39;re welcome.
yes, ruddertowne is doomed as we know it. the town%26#39;s in an uproar.
highway one, which owns the property, was going to tear it all down %26amp; put up townhouses. a developer offered an alternative....of a six story thing that looks like the ';mayan temple'; sort of thing you%26#39;d see in cancun....mostly hotel rooms %26amp; condos.
this is up in the air at this point, we don%26#39;t know what%26#39;s going to happen. none of us property owners seem to like either of the alternatives a whole heck of a lot. town meetings apparently have been quite exciting lately, wish i%26#39;d made it to some of them.
