Bear Trap Dunes

We are planning a trip this summer to Bear Trap Dunes. Has anyone ever stayed here? Is it goo, bad etc... What about the drive to the beach?

Bear Trap is a beautiful community with very nice in community amenities. Haven%26#39;t stayed there, but have been through many times. I believe they have a shuttle to and from the beach, so even though they are outside of Bethany the beach is easily accessible. If you are renting check with your owner or with the rental agent.

Yes, we%26#39;ve stayed it Bear Trap Dunes. It is excellent. Great family place. Private air conditioned beach shuttle was very nice and ran often. Amenities were incredible including 2 outdoor pools, 2 kiddie pools, and an indoor pool in case it rains. All pools had lifegaurds on duty. There were also clay (har-tru) tennis courts, a fully equipped fitness gym, saunas, a jacuzzi, private locker rooms, tennis instructors, a wonderful kids playscape, 3 gold courses and much much more. All these resort amenities plus we were also just 3 miles to the beach! we had a great stay. the home that we stayed in had a 50 inch plasma TV, 4 bedrooms including 2 master bedroom suites, high speed wireless internet, DVDs in every room and brand new mattresses in every room. It was referred to as a luxury row home and was located on the village green. The amenities were just a short walk away. There were 3 golf courses that we could play on and they had twilight rates that were 50% off of the regular rates. We did not have to be members to play! The golf courses were called the Grizzly, the Black Bear and the Kodiak. The community recently won a national ';Best in American Living'; award. The golf courses were voted ';Best in Delaware'; and were also publishes as ';One of America%26#39;s Best Golf Courses'; by Golf Week magazine. In Summary, I can highly recommend Bear Trap Dunes to anyone who wants to go to the beach and have all the comforts of an exclusive resort at a price that is very reasonable.
