Train station in Newark

I%26#39;m planning to take my son to Newark to look at the University of Delaware, and we%26#39;d like to take the train. We%26#39;ll be staying at a hotel close to campus, and I%26#39;m wondering if we need to rent a car or if there%26#39;s other transportation to get there from the train station. Any suggestions? The train station is a stone%26#39;s throw from the main campus, and I imagine fairly close (%26lt;1 mile) to any hotel at which you might be staying.
