Hi, we%26#39;re thinking of driving down to Rehoboth area later this week, and hoping to find a clean hotel on route 1 for not too much money. Do you think I%26#39;ll have trouble finding available room on Wed, Thurs night on route 1? We don%26#39;t need to be close to the beach, as we are really coming down to do some fact-finding regarding relocation to Delaware area....

You should have no trouble on Wed and Thursday . Cheap Econlodge...Reasonable 3 star Heritage Inn.
Last minute hotel for cheap
Just returned from Rehoboth,(July 15, 16, 17) stayed on Rt 1 at a lil spot called Anchorage Inn. It wasn%26#39;t busy at all, stayed Sun %26amp; Mon nights, 96 dollars complete each night. Before I left, the lowest net rate I could find on Rt 1 within 2 miles of the beach was 159. It wasn%26#39;t the best motel around but it was safe, pretty clean in general and got the job done. Bathrooms are small, no sinks outside the door, better ask for extra towels but great channels on TV and lady in office was incredibly helpful. She steered us to a smlall, uncrowded beach in Lewes so we could escape the Rehoboth madness. We so enjoyed that and spent hours watching the Cape May/Lewes Ferry going in and out. It was beautiful. The one big complaint for me was walls were paper thin and at night, I heard standard conversations through the wall. Annoying but I%26#39;ve had that at bigger places, too. It served it%26#39;s purpose.
