Not familiar with beach at all. We take our annual family trip to Orlando, but we are thinking about taking our family to beach for a long weekend. We have never been! There will be four of us- me, hubyy, two daughters- eleven and three.I have read some not so favorable reviews of Dewey Beach, so now I am debating Lewes Beach or Bethany beach?
Which one has a boardwalk?
Which is more family-friendly?
Are there hotels right on the beach?
Thanks so much!!
Bethany Beach or Lewes beach?
The beach in Lewes is actually on Delaware Bay .Calm and shallow great for the 3y.o. Cape Henlopen State Park is close and does offer ocean beach .Down town Lewes has some interesting stores and upscale restaurants. There are 2 amusement type operations and a movie theater complex as well as 3 tax`free shopping outlets on DE RT 1 on the stretch between Lewes and Rehoboth beach. Of course nice family friendly boardwalk in Rehoboth . Bethany has a nice beach , is family friendly and has no boardwalk.
Bethany Beach or Lewes beach?
Bethany Beach DOES indeed have a Boardwalk; it%26#39;s small, nowhere near the length of Rehoboth or Ocean City, MD. It%26#39;s about a quarter mile long and you can ride your bike on it in the morning and it%26#39;s the cneter for action, concerts and activities in the evening. BB is VERY family oriented, busy but a lovely beach town.
