Hi
We visited Rehoboth last October and loved it so we are planning to come back in mid August for 2 weeks next year and also are returning this October for a week.
We flew in and out of Dulles but coming via Newark this year.
If anyone has got a spare few minutes to answer a couple of queries (they are mainly about next summer), I%26#39;d really appreciate your time :)
If we are flying into/out of Newark, is the best route to use the Cape May ferry?
We will be staying on the main road (2 miles from the beach), in a condo and I suspect the road to the beach will be packed....is there anywhere we could hire 2 kids bikes, as the condo has 2 adult bikes?
Lastly, are there any good places for a typical ';small!'; American breakfast? We went to a place which is on the right at the top of the main beach road as you enter it but have forgotten the name or is it still good?
Thanks in advance for your help

Coming south you could follow signs for the Delaware memorial Bridge cross and take US 13 south into De 1 this becomes an expressway and is fast. This would be quicker than the ferry but not sceinic or relaxing as the ferry.
There are several bike rental places in Rehoboth. There are many bike trails in Cape Henlopen State Park and a newer one running from the Rehoboth area to the state park . I would not advise riding a bike on the main road.

Many thanks...will take your advice and keep of the road!
i wish i could really help you, but i can/t...
about all i can tell you is that the cape may ferry is fun....NICE boat trip..
and don%26#39;t for gods sake ride bicycles on route one!
I think the breakfast place you are remembering is the Crystal, on your right as you enter Rehoboth via the Avenue (main drag into town from Rt. 1). Very popular for breakfast %26amp; you will wait if you don%26#39;t get there early.
For bikes for the kids, check the thrift shop behind the Jiffy Lube on Rt. 1 northbound, just past the Midway Shopping Center. You could probably buy as cheap as renting for a week %26amp; then donate them back when you leave.
The ferry would be fun for the kids but DEL MEM BR to Rt. 1 S would be faster.
If you want to chat with fellow Brits check out T/A%26#39;s Orlando forum...not sure why but it seems to be almost exclusively Brits chatting away with each other...very amusing at times.
Cheers,
John W.
Thanks Daddio!
Yep Crystals was the place...great breakfast! Will go there again.
Thanks for the tip about the bikes...sounds a good idea.
Not sure what the weather is like mid-August for 2 weeks but if not too hot, would prefer to use bikes than try and park as I imagine Rehoboth beach parking must be a nightmare at that time of year and using the bikes will keep us all fit (and so if I exercise I can eat more American food :) !)
Cheers
