Hi, looking for opinions on the best hotel. I have stayed at the Beach View, the Boardwalk, and Brighton Suites.
Dollar for dollar, Beachview has been the best.
Would like to stay oceanfront though. Its easiest with 3 small kids.
Has anyone been to Henlopen? Seems to get totally mixed reviews on this website.
Thanks
Best Rehoboth Hotel?
Hi
My family and I have stayed at the Henlopen several times and have had no problems. I have read some of the reviews and agree that the place could use some more amenities, but we are heading there in 4 days and very much look forward to our trip. We have stayed at the Brighton and Atlantic Sands in the past as well as at a condo twice. The Henlopen is the place we keep returning to because of the location ( close to the beach and away from the center of the boardwalk) and the staff has always been nice to us. On our first stay we found our room smelled like smoke and were upgraded to a suite at no addt%26#39;l cost. We like it.
Best Rehoboth Hotel?
Our extended family just returned from a stay at the Henlopen.
They have done some remodeling and we were very pleased.
The other person commenting was right about the staff. They
are very helpful and very friendly. Our rooms were great. We will stay
again.
Check out the Atlantic Sands. It%26#39;s recently been refurbished, right on the boards, and near the Avenue. Their prices are reasonable too.
As an early post stated, the Henlopen is located at the end of the boardwalk which they enjoyed. I prefer the Sands because it is one block from the Avenue and all the shops/restaurants. So it depends on what you want.
It also has a pool located on the boardwalk with access to the boards and the beach.
I%26#39;ve stayed at the Sands as well and was pleased with room, rates and services! I have four kids and it was a pleasure to walk in and off the beach and right the the pool.
In the middle of the season before you get your heart set on anyplace I would check on availabilty and make reservations.
I prefer the Henlopen (way up top) because it%26#39;s an old solidly built building and the walls are thick. It%26#39;s an easy walk to anything on the boards, there%26#39;s a nice restaurant up top and even though the rooms are tiny, it%26#39;s very comfortable.
