We plan on attending the Fall race. Was wondering if anyone has any thoughts to what sections are the best viewing of the race. Also where is the best place to park for easy exit? Thanks

I use to work the parking at Dover Downs, but it%26#39;s been awhile...basically there%26#39;s really no GREAT place to park and you gotta park where they tell you...and DO Not park on the highway!!! You%26#39;ll be towed (yes some do it). Just go in the main gate and follow the people that are directing you. If it%26#39;s the same crew I worked with, they%26#39;re good at what they do.

We are going to the Sept race. Need hotel north of Dover. We are coming from central jersey. Any ideas? Thanks

The parking is horrible. Well, not horrible - it%26#39;s just that it%26#39;s hundreds of thousands of people…and not enough to accommodate everyone. We learned two years ago a trick….**Coming from Jersey** There is a shuttle bus from the Christiana Mall in Delaware, here is the website: www.dartfirststate.com/information/race/ You meet up with the shuttle in the parking lot at 7:00 a.m., where you buy a $7 roundtrip ticket. The shuttle takes you directly to the Petty Grand Stand and picks you up after the race. The buses have special privileges…not waiting in traffic, etc. This is truly the best way to get down there…unless you%26#39;re up for 4 hours of sitting in traffic, then walking another hour to the track!! What we%26#39;ve done is get a hotel in the Christiana Mall area, zip to the shuttle in the a.m. and it%26#39;s smooth sailing. The only trick, on the return, the shuttle stops at the Blue Hen shopping center first, where you connect onto a bus to go back to Christiana. It%26#39;s SO well worth it; you wouldn%26#39;t believe it. And you have a better chance of getting a hotel in that area near the shuttle. Though, I%26#39;ve booked my rooms a year or 1/2 year in advance. If you have more questions, don%26#39;t hesitate to get me at martiniilover@aol.com!!!! I have heard that that the buses at Christiana are limited to 1,000 people. What time do you need to arrive to be guaranteed a seat on the bus? 6AM, 5 AM?
