I don%26#39;t think there%26#39;s anywhere in Newark that brands itself as primarily seafood, but we had a great meal at Cucina di Napoli last year--Italian menu with a fair amount of seafood on it.

The Trap on Elkton Road at the west end of town is a local seafood place. Entirely adequate. Their crabcakes have won some awards, but not sure how recently. (We actually ate there on Wednesday night, and it was . . . entirely adequate.)

Laid back and casual is a perfect description.

HOWEVER . . .

If you%26#39;re willing to drive to Wilmington (25 minutes), you%26#39;ll have a completely different -- way better -- experience at Harry%26#39;s Seafood at the Christina waterfront. It%26#39;s not stuffy, but the food is superb.
