Hi, my friends and I are trying to plan a fun, low-key bachelorette weekend in Rehoboth this weekend. We are a group of mid to late twenty somethings looking for suggestions on fun restaurants and bars to go to and activities like hiking or sports to do during the day. If anyone has any tips or favorite places for groups please let me know. Are there are bars that play fun dance music in the area?
Also, if anyone has ideas on the best way to get from NYC to Rehoboth, please let me know. Thanks!
Help planning bachelorette activities in Rehoboth?!
There are plenty of great bars %26amp; restaurants in Rehoboth to choose from, but If you really like to party hardy, head to Dewey Beach (just south of Rehoboth) %26amp; check out the Bottle %26amp; Cork and/or the Starboard. Both get pretty wild %26amp; the ';Cork'; gets some pretty famous bands from time to time.(Little Feat, Joan Jett, Meatloaf, Peter Frampton, Matchbox 20, etc.)
Also, Southbeach %26amp; the Rusty Rudder are two places you can eat indoors or out overlooking the bay %26amp; often have live music.
I also like Irish Eyes along the harbor in Lewes...good food %26amp; live music indoors or out overlooking the harbor %26amp; fishing boats.
For hiking, check out Cape Henlopen SP (either the one past the ferry terminal in Lewes or Gordon%26#39;s Pond from north Rehoboth). Or, the Junction %26amp; Breakwater trail (from US 1 N, turn right onto Wolfe Neck Rd. at the Wawa). You might also consider renting bikes (some of the trails in the main park are paved).
Have a blast.

In fact, this is opening weekend for the Bottle and Cork in Dewey Beach. You can see what is going on by visiting www.deweybeachlife.com. They list the bands and DJs that are playing in Dewey.

For the most stylish restaurant in town, try 59 Lake. www.59lake.com. I also really like Planet X. Also, a great bakery is Pasqualini%26#39;s.
But, be warned that the best looking guys in town are gay. :-)
Thank you to everyone for your input and help - really appreciate it. And btw - bachelorette parties love gay men! They make for the best dancing partners...
I don%26#39;t know how many brides to be I%26#39;ve danced with in my life! Be sure then to hit Cloud Nine about 11PM on a Friday night.
...or the Blue Moon for happy hour.
AND...if you want to dance with other gals, hit the Frog Pond (DJ starts around 9pm).
ok, i%26#39;ve gotta laugh about the best looking men in town being gay - it%26#39;s so TRUE!
one july, my best friend (since age 15) flew in from california as a surprise for my 50th birthday. we walked up the beach from dewey to the avenue %26amp; as we were passing poodle beach, she said to me...';this is too good to be true! there%26#39;s NOTHING but beautiful men as far as the eye can see!';
and yeah...the best dancer i know is a gay man :-)
it%26#39;s also indisputable that many of the best restaurants in Rehoboth (%26amp; there are quite a few really great ones) are gay owned/operated.
But c%26#39;mon now, gals...not slighting those good-looking gays, but what are us straight guys; chopped liver? (LOL) Give us a chance!
well hon....since i%26#39;ve been married to a straight man for 27 years %26amp; am looking at my 57th birthday in july....all i can do is LOOK %26amp; i don%26#39;t care what the ';persuasian'; is! it%26#39;s just ';a view'; :D
