I am planning to spend a few hours for a sunbath in Bethany Beach during the weekend while visiting a friend nearby. Is parking difficult?

No problem...just bring lots of quarters (and check your time of expiration because if you don%26#39;t, meter readers will) and plan on walking a couple/few blocks to the beach unless you come early. Weekends can be very busy at all the beaches down here.

As was mentioned, bring lots of quarters but make absolutely, positively sure you *watch the clock*. You%26#39;ll be sure to get a ticket the very second your meter expires, and it puts a real damper on the day.
As was mentioned before, the earlier you can get to the beach the better your chances for snagging a spot.
I received a $20 ticket written while I still had time on the meter. The ticket writer just waited until my time was up, even though as was 1/2 a block away! and yelling! They will also ticket you if your tires touch the white line of the bike lane. They are ruthless in the quest for money and to contest the ticket you have to come back to town (unreasonable for visitors).
