Best way to Bethany Beach from NYC?

We%26#39;ll be driving from NYC to Bethany Beach, planning to arrive late afternoon on a Saturday. What is the best way?

Mapquest suggests 95 to Rte 1 -- won%26#39;t there be a ton of traffic on Rte 1?

Randmcnally.com suggests the Cape Maye - Lewes ferry.

Any thoughts?

Either way would work. If you%26#39;re using the ferry you should have reservations.It is not cheap. Using that you would have to go down the Rt 1 corridor Thru Rehoboth and Dewey Beach.Coming from the bridge using 13 into 1 you should follow 113 at Milford. Go thru Millsboro and turn left on Rt 26 to Bethany.
