Help! Pets

Hi,

I am planning to travel to either Dewey, Rehoboth, Bethany, or Ocean City (basically any beach in the DC area) this August. And, I%26#39;m a little concerned because I read that on some of those beaches they don%26#39;t allow pets in August. I wanted to take my dog to the beach. Can anyone tell me where the best place to go would be? Thanks so much!!

in august, rehoboth does not allow dogs on the beach during the season at all.

dewey allows dogs on the beach when the lifeguards aren%26#39;t on....before 9 in the a.m. %26amp; after 5 in the p.m., and off season they are allowed at any time!

they even have poop bags on stands at the end of each street.

PLEASE use them because it%26#39;s become an issue again....people not cleaning up!

dewey%26#39;s beach can be a regular dog-fest at times, GREAT FUN! I HOPE that the more irresponsible people don%26#39;t screw it up....:-(

oh, and OC MD does not allow dogs on the beach during season either.

actually if you want your dog on the beach during the day during season...there aint%26#39; much. i saw some on the silver lake beach between dewey %26amp; rehoboth...but that%26#39;s all private.

and there%26#39;s always assateague, if you want to camp. we used to do that with our dogs.

i%26#39;m thinking dewey is your best bet though.

Thanks so much for the advice. We probably wouldn%26#39;t be going during the day with our dog because she%26#39;s a pug and can%26#39;t deal with the heat anyway.
