I%26#39;m thinking about purchasing a condo in Rehoboth. Which are your favorite condos and why? Thanks!
Rehoboth Condos
owings,
We%26#39;ve owned property in the area for 30+ years.
Do you mean within the city limits of Rehoboth? Or just the Rehoboth area? Beach block? East of Route 1? or no preference? Rehoboth%26#39;s ZIP 19971 includes Dewey Beach, which has lots of condos -- include Dewey? Price range? How many bedrooms? Intended as a rental property or personal use only?
So many variables need to be defined before answering your question thoughtfully.

Rehoboth Condos
the only condo complex i%26#39;ve seen the interior of is Wilson Dunes in Dewey beach. right across the street from our house, a woman who admired my dogs on the beach once invited me in.
looked nice to me! beachfront....seems to be quite well maintained. no idea what the cost would be or if any are currently for sale.
Owings, I was wondering as well....are you referring to oceanfront Rehoboth or the city of Rehoboth? Are you interested in just the Rehoboth Beach area, or are you considering Dewey as well?
I just got back from a week%26#39;s stay at the First Virginia Avenue condos, which are oceanfront. I researched all of the condos either oceanfront or one or two blocks from the beach and this bldg was supposed to be the newest and nicest.
Maybe I was spoiled by my recent condo stay in the Gulf Shores area of Alabama, but I was disappointed. I would not buy oceanfront or close to the oceanfront.
I did see condo/townhouse development going on in the Rehoboth area and these communitites looked very nice. You would still need to either drive in or catch the trolley/public transportation to actually go to the beach though.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the replies. I%26#39;m looking for something within a few miles of the beach. Oceanfront would probably be out of my price range. Thanks!
Owings,
There are dozens of choices that meet that criterion. One of the condo developments I%26#39;ve always admired as I drive by is Plantations. It%26#39;s close to Route 1, so it%26#39;s handy to shopping, and probably within a few miles of the boardwalk in Rehoboth.
Here%26#39;s a realtor%26#39;s site with more info:
kate-jody.com/…20Estate.html
and another:
www.affinity-realty.com/sold-properties.htm
You can use realtor.com to see everything available, or the Sussex County Realtors site: delmls.com. Click the public access button near the top of the page.
Another good source to help you get familiar with the local real estate market is the local paper: www.capegazette.com. There are many hundreds of real estate listings every week. You might want to subscribe.
The good news for you is, it%26#39;s becoming a buyer%26#39;s market. I see a lot of ';Reduced'; banners in the real estate ads these days. That%26#39;s a big change from three years ago, when practically anything that went up for sale was sold in a few weeks.
Good luck with your search!
Thanks so much for the useful information.
