yes.. well I%26#39;m not from the USA and i have little problem with transportation from NYC . The greyhound rides only to Dover and what next...?it doesn%26#39;t have busstops later. Do U know any different ways to get to BB? we don%26#39;t want also spend a lot of money :)for this.

You should be able to get on local public transportation from Dover. Our public transportation system is called Delaware Area Regional Transit (DART)Their website is www.dartfirststate.com. They have a bus that goes from Dover to Rehoboth. Look for info on ';Day at the Beach'; or Route 305. The only problem may be getting from the Greyhound terminal to the DART bus stop. After you get to Rehoboth you will have to get another bus to Bethany. I%26#39;m not much of a public transportation user so that%26#39;s all I know. I hope the website helps. Good luck. I%26#39;ll answer any questions I can. The cost is $4.50 from Dover to Rehoboth - not sure from Rehoboth to BB.

You should be able to take the AirTrain or a bus into whichever NYC train station puts you on Amtrak to Wilmington, DE. Then DART from Wilmington at least to Rehobeth.

It%26#39;s the 2005 season schedule, but I assume it%26#39;ll be similar in 2006. The service doesn%26#39;t start till late May, and ends in mid-September.

There%26#39;s also an in-season DART route from Wilmington to Rehoboth. If you%26#39;re coming in-season, you could take Greyhound to Wilmington or Dover, then DART to Rehoboth, then change buses again and take the DART Rehoboth-Ocean City bus and get off in Bethany.

So it depends on when you%26#39;ll be arriving. If it%26#39;s off-season, there won%26#39;t be any public transportation to Bethany from either Dover or Ocean City.

Suite hotel in town with pool

What are my options? We want to be the heart of Rehoboth. I like the street that the Brighton Suites are on. Where is the Breakers in relation to that? It seem slike a nice place online, but I don%26#39;t if it%26#39;s off the beaten path or not. What other hotels have suites and a pool in town?

I was wondering what you were looking for as far as a ';suite';. I noticed that these places basically offer a wet bar, microwave and refrigerator. If this is what you are looking for, the Boardwalk Plaza and the Bellmoor offer these as well. I%26#39;ve included a link to view a Rehoboth Beach Street Map so you can see where 2nd Street is (Breakers) in relation to Wilmington Ave (Brighton). As you mentioned the Brighton%26#39;s location is much better. It is a bit of a walk between the two properties, but seeing and enjoying Rehoboth involves quite a bit of walking so you may not mind.

The Breakers is a bit of a walk from the beach and Boardwalk.2 Blocks from Rehoboth Ave (main drag). A willing employee could tell you the back way to get in and save most of the Rehoboth Ave hassle. They are or just have completed some up grading. In Rehoboth pay attention to the 25 mph speed limit.They really enforce it particulary as you enter town.

You could get a train to Wilmington , DE then a bus . Dart (DE Area Regional Transit) could give you schedules, as they change seasonally.

Any recommendations on finding accommodations in Bethany Beach for a very large group? We are looking for 2 or 3 houses in close proximity to each other, close to the beach, with use of pool and tennis for about 30 people.

Check with resortquest.com for homes in the Sea Colony resort. Also check vrbo.com there are plenty of rentals in Bear Trap Dunes. A little further away from the beach, but new and large. They have all the amenities you could want! They do have a shuttle to the beach as well.

Does anyone have any comments regarding the Atlantic Oceanside Motel?

Additionally, I noticed comments about staying away from Dewey Beach at the beginning of June because of partying kids. What about the last week in June??

We haven%26#39;t stayed at this motel in a few years (using others nearby) so our comments might not be current. It is located right near the ';Bottle and Cork'; a well known hangout/live music/college crowd bar and we got tired of drunken kids banging on the doors and yelling. This was on the weekends, as you would expect. It also was getting a bit grungy but I don%26#39;t know if they%26#39;ve remodeled or anything.

Dewey is very nice during the week (and weekends too, if you are under 30) so you might want to take that into consideration in planning your trip. There are lots of kids at the beach during early June for Senior week (and Ocean City gets the most of them).

We%26#39;ve been staying at the Southwinds Motel, a bit further down the block.

I go to Dewey several times a year.

Dewey beach was once voted one of the top party beaches in the world. I go with friends on the weekends and it gets crazy, but I am sure that during the week it is much quieter.

The Atlantic Oceanside is not one of the nicer places to stay in Dewey. I recommend the Bay Resort. The Southwinds hotel is being turned into condos.

My family is considering visiting Rehoboth Beach in July 2006 for the first time with our 5 year old and 7 year old. Can anyone recommend any high quality hotels or rentals that are good for families? Must be on or within 2 blocks of Rehoboth Beach and Boardwalk. Pool and kids program would also be nice.

There really aren%26#39;t any resort type hotels in Rehoboth Beach, either near the boardwalk or out on Route 1. On Route 1, you%26#39;ll find things like Holiday Inn Express or AmericaInn, but you have to drive into the beach area to park. On the beach, the hotels are locally owned. I don%26#39;t know if they would fit your description of ';high quality'; or not. I stayed in the Boardwalk Plaza which is ranked #1 on here and it was more like a quaint little inn. They have a very small pool and it is an indoor/outdoor pool. The #2 hotel on here is called the Bellmoor. There website is www.thebellmoor.com. I have never stayed there, but it looks more like a nice ';inn'; as well. There are photos on expedia.com. They also list ';babysitting %26amp; childcare services'; but no children%26#39;s programs. A good site for listings of where to stay and what to do can be found at www.rehoboth.com. This site also lists vacation rental agencies. We found a condo for a week this way, but they also list homes as well.

P.S. If you decide to go with a rental, you will want to make this decision RIGHT AWAY. As it is, you may have a hard time finding what you want in the location that you want.

Your best option for a resort-type experience with a kids program is about 20 minutes south with a condo rental at Sea Colony in Bethany Beach.

The better hotels in Rehoboth might be able to arrange for a reliable babysitter if you need one for a few hours, but for the most part you%26#39;ll be on your own to keep the kids amused.

personally i liked puerto vallarta a LOT better, but i didn%26#39;t get a chance to give cabo san jose a fair look either, it seemed pretty charming.
