Moving to Claymont, Delaware

I have a friend moving to Claymont, Delaware and will be working at the Wachovia Center in Philly. Does anyone have any advice, suggestions, anything about the location. Hot spots, restuarants, etc?

where in claymont? claymont is not exactly a hot bed of activity. any where north of the city limits of wilmington, we call north wilmington - if he is moving to that area near Rt. 202 AKA Concord Pike there will lots around locally. otherwise i%26#39;d stick to the philly hot spots. we do have a college (university of delaware) town just down I-95 from claymont named newark - always lots going on there. check out the local newspaper%26#39;s website delawareonline.com. they have a great website with lots of info about local entertainment, restaurants, etc.

I was a resident of Claymont for over a decade. There are NO hot spots there. However, there is one really nice restaurant called LOTSA PASTA off of Naaman%26#39;s Road, not far from Tri-State Mall. In addition to Italian food, they have excellent seafood at a great price.

Claymont is a fast up and coming area. You should see major improvements over the next couple of years. The best restaurant in town is the Claymont Steak Shop. As far as hot spots, other than a couple of small local bars, there are none, but its convenient to a lot of other areas, including Philly.
